In the dark, stars dance across the sky like giddy lovers. All is still, save the hooting of owls and the growling of bobcats. Waves crash gently on the beach just beyond the forest. What is there but pain and misery? Shame and deceit? Look at the lives that surround us and scream at the top of your lungs, 'What is this injustice that we face? When will it end? Open your eyes, wretched mortals! Stare into the light until you are blinded! Let it fill your soul with something other than hate and cruelty!' He had the courage to do what I never could. His mind was his own personal hell and he had the courage to end his life and escape from that hell. But I wonder what is more brave.
